Purpose of this site
The purpose of this site is to allow serious Independent Musical Artists to have their songs reviewed by there peers and the general public. You do not have to be an artist to review the songs, but you must register to post entries to this forum.
How Artists Benefit
Musicians and Singers are so close to their own music that they can sometimes lose objectivity. This forum will allow others to hear your music and make suggestions that could improves your songs. It is better to find out that a song needs more work before it is distributed to the public.
Are Music Files Uploaded
No, they are not. To get your songs heard, you should first write the name of the (one) song in the subject line. Then you must make a link to your MYSPACE MUSIC SITE or other musical website page in your post. Each of you posts should link to one song anywhere on the Internet.
Any member will then have the option of clicking on your link, listening to your song, and giving you feedback by responding to your post.
First Rule Above All Others:
The main overriding rule for this forum is this:
If you have a problem with another Artist, a Producer, or whomever, take it up with them directly. Not here. No exceptions.
Posts going against this rule will simply be deleted. No matter what they are about.
Giving Other Artists Your Feedback
You can offer feedback to any artists on this site. You do have to be NASTY to get your point across, however. We are all here to help each other - so be honest but be considerate.
No Other Artist Postings Allowed
If you have songs that you would like others members to review, be sure that you only promote your own music. If you place a link to a MYSPACE MUSIC page or musical website, it must be your own.
Any entry promoting anything other than your own music will be deleted. Some Bands are telling their fans to come here and make postings to promote their songs in their sig files. Anyone caught doing this will have to be removed. This board is only for posting songs for review and discussion music by Independent Artists.
A simple way to stay within this rule is this: Promote your own music and songs, and nothing else. Again, you may comment on anybody's entry.
